Recap: AMA with DOS Team

On Saturday, May 1st, 2021, Michelle Chiang, CMO at DOS Network, hosted a live Telegram AMA featuring Jian Wang (CEO), Jerry Liu (CTO) and Kundan Suresh Kumar (Engineer Lead). The team answered questions from the community regarding the technical roadmap, rebranding initiatives and much more. The AMA concluded with live Q&A on the Telegram channel.

In this recap, we featured some of the key questions and answers from the team.

Question: What is the vision for DOS and how can it stand out from other oracles?

Jian: First of all, thank you everyone for tuning into our official AMA today. It really does mean a lot to me personally and our team.

DOS Network is determined to become the best oracle to bring real-world data to smart contracts. DOS’s vision is to unlock the potential on multiple chains and enable cross-chain interactions and functionality. To that end, the DOS Network is actively working on cross-chain integration, most notably on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Huobi Eco Chain.

DOS Network stands out from the competition, mainly because of its security, efficiency, and customizability. The flexibility and ease of development DOS Network offer blockchain developers and entrepreneurs alike are unrivalled. The way DOS is constructed allows the team to provide customized real-time data streaming services to our clients.

Question: What are the details of the BSC/Polkadot integration and how far along is the development? (Road app mentions Q1 completion for this)

Kundan: I can share about Polka…we are looking at parachains and working with Moonbeam, a very exciting project that shall help with integration!

Jian: We are fully committed to the DOS Network roadmap, which I encourage each and every one of you to peruse on the official website. The BSC integration is in the testing stage. We may not disclose the specific date of the deployment, but you may expect to see the integration deployed very soon.

Jerry: I would like to add more. Besides the multiple blockchains we’re working on, we will also bring more assets(crypto and real-world) to our Data Stream Services. There are several potential partners who reached out to us about adding their assets to our ecosystem.

Another thing we’re working on is that we will also bring DOS tokens to more blockchains, including Heco and BSC.

Question: Can you give some history of the project. It seems the project was stopped for a while and then rebooted. Can you give some insight?

Jerry: DOS Network started in 2018, our vision has never changed, and the project was never truly stopped. The team continued to evolve the project and released data streaming amid the personnel shift.

Of course, we have experienced some shift in human resources, and I think this brings more vitality to the project, such as the rebranding effort and integration on BSC and Heco, all of which are exciting.

Right now we’re still actively seeking new team members. I think the rebranded website will give more clear info about the team structure.

Question: What is the status of the rebrand efforts and when can we expect this to happen?

Jian: The rebranding initiative is scheduled to be completed by end of this quarter. The oracle vertical is still not saturated. While many oracle projects are just painting the big picture without delivering, DOS is already providing and continues to provide robust products and customizable services to our clients. Our rebranding effort will highlight and showcase that.

Michelle: To add to what Jian mentioned, I would like to point out that the rebranding is more than a new website and new logos. The rebranding effort will be accompanied by new partnerships that will further expand the DOS ecosystem. Therefore, both the tech and BD team are working hard to launch the new brand.

Question: Will there be new investors to the DOS project?

Jian: The answer to that is a resounding yes! We will be receiving additional backing to improve the technical framework and architecture, facilitate higher user acquisition and retention, and foster healthier community development. The funding details will be released very soon as we finalize the details in the coming weeks.
